Meet Huck…

English Setter (Bench Setter) Rescue

This is the newest addition to our family, Huck Hendricks. Huck is a two-year old full-breed tri-color English Setter (Bench Setter) we rescued from Indiana on May 21, 2022. His previous owners shaved his long hair and feathering, but it is growing back slowly and pretty soon he will be quite the 100-pound “looker”. Huck loves power walks, power naps, power plays, and dumpster diving. You know what they say, one man’s trash is Huck’s treasure.

Huck is also an unapologetic mouth breather who loves long leash walks every single morning. He is a consumate bunny stalker, fly catcher, bird watcher, people pleaser, and squirrel enthusiast who just happened to be looking for love in all the right places. He didn’t quite pick us, but I think he’s pretty darn happy with the whole situation. Welcome home, Huck!!

IN MEMORIAM…

In Loving Memory of Stickley
2011 - 2021

Stickley was our 10-year old Shorkie (Shih-Tzu/Yorkshire Terrier Mix) that became our four-legged family member in 2011. Just a couple of months after he arrived, he began experiencing tonic-clonic seizures that would not stop without emergency medical intervention. We partnered with VCA Findlay Animal Hospital and MedVet in Columbus, Ohio. We are forever grateful for the exceptional love and care he received when he needed it most.

During our last emergency visit, we were told that Stickley only had one year to live. At that moment, we made a commitment to change Stickley's diet and exercise routine. Due to these changes, Stickley was seizure-free the remainder of his life. Stickley was the inspiration for Stickory and he lives on in the love we provide every day to our client’s pets.

MEET Cooper & Harry…

English Setter (Grand-Setter) Rescues

We certainly can't forget about our beloved granddogs, Cooper John and Harry Ford. Our daughter, Megan, rescued these handsome English Setters and they have been bringing our family laughter and joy since the day they arrived. Cooper and Harry get themselves into more silly situations than we could possibly mention, but we love them both very much and are so happy they found a new forever home with such a loving pet parent.

Cooper John and Harry Ford currently reside in Kentucky, where they enjoy long walks, bird dogging, and eating pretty much everything in the house. These two don’t think it’s rude to point and have the most amusing facial expressions we have ever seen. English Setters are truly old souls and living proof that double the setter is always better!
